HOW TO USE
- Wet the scourer with warm water before use to soften the fibres slightly.
- Add washing-up liquid directly to the scourer or to the item you're cleaning, if required.
- Scrub as needed — pots, pans, dishes, sinks, worktops, or tiles. Coconut fibre is robust enough for tough jobs.
- Rinse thoroughly after use to remove food residue and soap.
- Air dry between uses — standing upright or laid flat allows the fibre to dry fully and extends the scourer's life.
- Replace when the fibres begin to break down or lose their effectiveness. The old scourer can go straight into your home compost.

WHY IT MATTERS — COCONUT FIBRE VS SYNTHETIC SCOURERS
The problem with conventional plastic scourers
Most kitchen scourers are made from polyurethane foam bonded with a polyester or nylon scouring layer — both derived from petroleum. Every time you use one, it sheds microplastics into your water. When you throw it away, it will be in landfill for centuries. Coconut fibre scourers replace all of that with a material that grows naturally, requires no fossil fuels to produce, and returns to the earth cleanly at end of life — you can put them straight in your home compost bin.
Conventional plastic scourers
- Made from petroleum-based plastics
- Sheds microplastics with every use
- Sits in landfill for centuries
- Often contain added dyes & chemicals
- Non-renewable resource
These coconut scourers
- 100% natural coconut fibre
- Zero microplastics — ever
- Home compostable at end of life
- No added chemicals or dyes
- Renewable, plant-based resource
End of life — how to compost: When your scourer has done its job, it can go straight into your home compost bin or garden compost heap. Break or cut it into smaller pieces to speed up decomposition. Being 100% natural coconut fibre, it will break down without leaving any harmful residue — unlike synthetic scourers which persist in the environment indefinitely.
